Typographics 2022
I created a visual identity for the 2022 Typographics conference. As the tagline states, the event is "For people who use type." I started off playing with the idea of web 1.0 aesthetics—pop-ups, warning screens, low resolution graphics, the whole nine yards. But as the project developed, I began to realize that sticking too closely to these nostalgic aesthetics would result in the project looking clunky and unpleasant. So I decided to stick with a few key ideas from the era: garish colors, rudimentary 3-D effects, and a typeface which mimics low-resolution screens of the time.
